Model Guideline for road construction disseminated and discussed in Uttargaya Gaunpalika, Rasuwa

With the support of European Union Humanitarian Aid, S.W. Nepal Pvt. Ltd. (Scott Wilson Nepal, SWN) conducted a discussion on the draft model Guideline on Rural Road Construction to the local government leaders, technical officials, contractors, user committees of Uttargaya Gaunpalika, Rasuwa during a workshop on ‘Resilient Rural Road Construction and Landslide Management’ under Pratibaddha II project. The workshop aims to support them in procuring services that respond to greener, sustainable, and nature-friendly engineering services in road building at a local government level. Gaunpalika chairperson, vice-chairperson ward chairperson from all five wards, executive committee members, local contractors, and user committees actively participated and provided feedback on the model Guideline.
The project Pratibaddha-II (Together for Disaster Preparedness and Early Action in Landslide Affected Hill Areas of Nepal) is led by People in Need, together with its consortium partners CSRC, Save the Children Nepal, and SWN. The project covers Naukunda, Uttargaya, Bhotekoshi Gaunpalika, and Barhabise Nagarpalika in Rasuwa and Sindhupalchowk districts.
