Pratibaddha support to review and revise DPRP and formulate Forecast based Action (FbA)Procedure

With the support of the EU Civil Protection & Humanitarian Aid, the Pratibaddha-2 Project has assisted Bahrabise Municipality and Bhotekoshi Rural Municipality in reviewing and revising their Disaster Preparedness and Response Plan (DPRP). Both DPRPs have now incorporated the Forecast-based Action (FbA) Plan for landslide/flood events, enabling early response based on forecasts provided by the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology (DHM). The formulation of the FbA Procedure was recently completed by the Local Government, with technical support from the Pratibaddha-2 Project. Municipality leaders and officials have expressed their commitment to endorsing the DPRPs and the FbA Procedure, as well as allocating funds for the implementation of these plans.
