In 2000, we were born as a local subsidiary of Scott Wilson Group, UK. In 2008, Scott Wilson UK became URS and later AECOM.

Scott Wilson UK/ Scott Wilson Nepal carried out a DFID-funded Landslide Risk Assessment in the Rural Access Sector (LRA) in Nepal and Bhutan.

Scott Wilson Nepal signed its first contract as a Nepali firm with the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC) for the Social Impact Study of the funded District Road Support Programme (DRSP).

Scott Wilson Nepal was reborn on Saraswati Pooja on 20th January 2009. Our First Annual Day.

SWN Partnered with UNWFP for the Food For Work Programme for Engineering Service, Third-Party Monitoring, and Capacity Building in Small Community-based Infrastructure Development.

Our Key MEL Project signed with Third-Party Outcome Monitoring for the Nepal Peace Trust Fund (NPTF) for GIZ.

SWN reviewed the curriculum of Environmental Friendly Road Construction (EFRC) for the College of Science and Technology (CST), Rinchending, Phentsholing, Bhutan. SWN also trained faculty members on EFRC.

We organized our first annual picnic in Budanikantha, kathmandu.

SWN has Deego Pvt. Ltd. as its sister organization to further diversify its green development activities.

Deego provided Technical Assistance services to the Karnali Employment Programme (KEP).

After the 2015 Earthquake, we actively engaged in earthquake relief and reconstruction.

Since 2016, SWN with DT-Global/ AECOM has been providing service to the Environmental, Social, and Resettlement Due Diligence program in the development and execution of 400 kV transmission line projects of Nepal Compact for Millennium Challenge Cooperation (MCC).

SWN designed and supervised the construction of 125 km of foot trails in 12 months for DFID Nepal- a big feat.

SWN provided engineering services to 19,270 homeowners in Ramechhap under the funded House Owner Support Project and Employment Fund Skill for Reconstruction Project.

SWN won its largest project on global bidding, funded by the World Bank, to carry out Third Party Monitoring of Housing Reconstruction under the Earthquake Housing Reconstruction Project.

SWN was swift in adopting virtual meetings for undertaking MEL services in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. SWN promoted the localization of skills and capacity through this process.

Scott Wilson Nepal Gandaki (SWG) is established as an extension of Scott Wilson Nepal to promote green infrastructure development services at federalized institutions in Gandaki Province.

SWN organized an online 2-day National Bioengineering Symposium Nepal with Mr. John Howell, keynote speaker. Mr. Howell is a prominent international expert with extensive contributions to the development of bioengineering tools and applications in Nepal over the past 30 years.

From 2022 to 2024, SWN carried out the Impact Evaluation of the Swiss-funded Trail Bridge Support Programme.
SWN was a Nepal partner for DevTech System, USA, for the study on Nepal’s E-Governance Landscape for USAID.

SWN was the first prime contractor for 2 million USD, USAID Local Works Support. SWN is an extended arm of USAID Nepal for the implementation of USAID’s flagship Local Works program.

Since 2020, SWN, in consortium with People in Need, has been implementing Pratibaddha I, II, and III, funded by European Civil Protection and Humanitarian Aid Operations (ECHO), European Union (EU). The extended Phase III works in Hill areas of Western Nepal in a whole society approach for increased risk ownership, multi-hazard Preparedness, and Early Action.
