Scott Wilson Nepal (SWN) have recently designed Lightning Protection Systems (LPS) to protect from lightning strikes the lives of the people of Mahabu Gaunpalika, Karnali. The Gaidabaj settlement in the Gaunpalika is repeatedly hit by lightning strikes, putting the lives, livelihoods and infrastructure at risk.
SWN was assigned by International Organization for Migration (IoM) within its SIKAI program to undertake detailed assessment of the lightning risk prone area resulting in a DPR that includes an innovative and affordable Lightning Protection System (LPS) and how it works, among other items. The LPS system can also be adapted for other parts of the Gaunpalika.

स्कट विल्सन नेपालले आप्रवासनका लागि अन्तर्राष्ट्रिय सङ्गठन (आई.ओ.एम.) को ‘सिकाई‘ परियोजना अन्तर्गत कर्णाली प्रदेशको महाबु गाउँपालिका वडा नं ४ चट्याङको उच्च जोखिममा रहेको गैडाबाज क्षेत्रमा चट्याङबाट सुरक्षित हुने परियोजना कार्यान्वयन गर्न विस्तृत परियोजना प्रतिवेदन (डि.पी.आर) तयार गरेको छ । स्कट विल्सन नेपालको विशेषज्ञ टोलीले जोखिम सम्भावित क्षेत्रको अध्ययन पश्चात् प्रतिवेदन तयार गरेको हो । तयार गरिएको प्रतिवेदनमा किफायती र गुणस्तरीय चट्याङ सुरक्षा प्रणाली स्थापना गर्नको लागि डिजाइन, विस्तृत विधि र लागत अनुमान प्रदान गरिएको छ ।
