Background
Okhaldhunga is located in the Sagarmatha Zone of the Eastern Development Region of Nepal. It covers an area of 1,074.5 km² and has a population of 147,984 (CBS, 2011) with population density of 138 per sq km. District Periodic Plan (DPP) broadly contributes to the understanding of sectoral priorities, potentials and results in a framework that provides planning framework along with indicative budgetary provisions.

KEY ACTIVITIES AND SERVICES PROVIDED BY SW NEPAL
In undertaking this assignment, SW Nepal supported the DDC Okhaldhunga in the development of a district vision which was then translated into a 5 year District Periodical Plan (DPP).
SW Nepal ensured that all activities are conducted in close collaboration with local stakeholders and findings at every stage shared with them. In overall, SW Nepal carried out the assignment following a series of activities summarised below:
