Okhaldhunga district is located in the Sagarmatha Zone of Eastern Nepal. With an area of 1,074.5 km² , it has a population of 147,984 (CBS, 2011). District Periodic Plan (DPP) broadly contributes to the understanding of sectoral priorities, potentials and results in a framework that provides planning framework along with indicative budgetary provisions in the district.

Key activities and services provided by SW Nepal

In undertaking this assignment, SW Nepal supported the DDC Okhaldhunga in the development of a district vision which was then translated into a 5 year District Periodical Plan (DPP). SW Nepal ensured that all activities were conducted in close collaboration with local stakeholders and findings at every stage shared with them.
