SWN collaborates and works with National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Authority (NDRRMA), provincial and local governments and development partners to assess the geohazard prone settlements, support resilient infrastructure development and risk-informed planning. SWN conducts comprehensive geohazard assessments and risk mapping in areas vulnerable to landslides, debris flows, floods and other terrain related hazards as follows:
- Geohazard assessment of landslide vulnerable communities and categorization of the risk.
- Preparation of geohazard risk maps.
- Capacity strengthening of local governments and engineers on hazard identification, mapping techniques, and application in decision-making.
