Mr. Anil Rijal is a highly experienced Climate Resilient Infrastructure Specialist and a valued member of the Scott Wilson Nepal team. With over 30 years of professional experience across Nepal and India, he brings deep expertise in the planning, design, and quality delivery of community infrastructure, including rural roads, irrigation canals, water supply systems, and community buildings.
Anil is skilled in small-scale infrastructure development, third-party monitoring, and engineering quality assessments. He is also a passionate trainer, committed to building the capacity of local government engineering teams, NGOs, INGOs, and community-based organizations. His approach strongly integrates Nature-based Solutions (NbS), promoting environmentally sustainable and climate-resilient infrastructure that enhances natural ecosystems while protecting communities.
Anil has an extensive track record of working in Nepal’s mid and far-western regions and has collaborated with key international partners such as UNWFP, USAID, FCDO, the European Union, the World Bank, and SDC. His work in quality monitoring, capacity building, and the application of sustainable, nature-based techniques has made him a trusted leader in the field.
