Anubhav Ghimire is a structural engineer and researcher focused on advancing risk management, climate resilience, and sustainable development. A graduate of IIT Bombay, he works at the intersection of engineering, climate action, and humanitarian innovation. His experience spans humanitarian and development organizations in climate risk assessment, Nature-based Solutions (NbS) and adaptation planning, climate-resilient infrastructure, and strengthening resilience in urban communities.
In his role as Technical Coordinator, Anubhav focuses on transforming cutting-edge research into practical, field-ready solutions that help communities adapt to and mitigate disaster risks using Nature-based Solutions such as bio-engineering measures, water ponds, and other indigenous technologies. His work emphasizes practical, research-driven approaches to addressing climate-related challenges, ensuring that interventions are both impactful and sustainable.
He is a recipient of the prestigious Indian Council for Cultural Relations (ICCR) Scholarship and the winner of the IFRC–ICRC Speculative Futures Competition for his submission titled Tech-Enabled Resilience in 2023. He was also awarded Best Prototype at the Innovation in Humanitarian Habitat Conference in Luxembourg in 2023.
